Circuit around Mount Misma

Cenate Sopra

A loop circuit between the central part of Val Seriana valley and the Valpredina WWF Oasis, ideal for people who love the forests, without having to climb to high altitudes.

From Bergamo railway station you can reach Albino in two ways:
1) by taking the TEB (electric tramway) to the Albino terminus;
2) taking minor roads and short cycle paths to Torre Boldone, and from there taking the Val Seriana cycle path to Albino.
After reaching the medieval bridge at Albino, take the road that climbs along the Val del Lujo valley in the direction of Colle Gallo; just before reaching the houses of Casale, turn right along Via del Castagno (chestnut tree road), which, with short, steep sections in concrete, takes you to some high-level pastures.

Carry on along trail no. 513 and after a hard climb, you will reach the church of the Madonna del Misma. Continue along the ridge on trail n° 626, which is part of the “le vie del Misma” (Misma tracks) network of trails and crosses the WWF Valpredina Oasis.
After reaching a crossroads, go downhill to the left, pass the house named Cà Muratori, and you will reach Pradale. Carry straight on along a cart track in the middle of the meadow and as soon as you enter the woods, turn right along the challenging single track (be careful when it is wet!) that takes you to Cornale.
From here, cross the village and take the cycle path again, towards Bergamo, or take the TEB to Bergamo station.
