A mid-altitude hike for a loop circuit surrounded by nature.
Route:
From the farmhouse Cascina degli Alpini of Gorlago, climb to the hamlet Duria and then to Mount Santo Stefano (547 m). The path continues with a succession of uphill and downhill stretches, leading to the hamlet Pitù, then it takes you past Monte dell’Ingannolo (561 m) and reaches the small church of San Giovanni delle Formiche.
Still undulating up and down, the track brings you to the Alpine soldiers’ monument in the hamlet of San Bernardo, from where you go downhill towards Zandobbio and then along the cycle path running alongside the river Cherio back to the starting point.
