Vismara Gianfranco Farm

Honey and olive oil, two culinary treasures, are produced here according to organic methods, with skilful care from people who have been working in these fields for over forty years.

For the owners of the Vismara farm, the decision to follow organic procedures reflects the desire to make their products while endeavouring to preserve, to the highest degree possible, the natural environment of the slopes of Mount Misma, an oasis in the splendid setting of the Bergamo valleys where the farm is based.

All the operations are conducted in the Bergamo area, first and foremost the production of honey. The types of honey made here include rhododendron, lime tree, and alpine flora honey from the pastures of the highest parts of the valleys, the Pre-Alps and the Orobic Alps.

Olive oil is also produced using organic techniques. The olive trees are grown on the slopes of Mount Misma, while pressing and bottling are performed at the workshop in Scanzorosciate.

In addition to olive oil and honey, the farm makes other products deriving from beehives, such as propolis, honey vinegar and mead, in addition to preparations for cleansing and nourishing the skin, based on olive oil.

You can buy the products online at www.olioemiele.it, using various methods of payment, and they can be delivered conveniently to your home address.
