A family-run farm that has made cheese-making and animal husbandry its raison d’être.
The Fattoria del Colle farm is located at the Colle Gallo pass, between the Val Cavallina and Val Seriana valleys. Set in a verdant green landscape, the farm offers superb views over Lake Endine and the surrounding areas. Fattoria del Colle was founded in spring 2004, but the (family-run) farm has been present in the area for four generations.
The main activities are the rearing of Brown Swiss cattle and the processing of milk into cheese and other dairy products, such as yoghurt, ricotta and mozzarella cheeses.
In addition, pigs are bred on the farm to produce exquisite cured meats, such as salami, sausage, cotechino ham, coppa ham, bacon, testina (pig’s head) and musetto (pig’s snout) sausage.
In addition to pigs, Fattoria del Colle also raises male calves born on the farm, selling this delicious type of meat.
Dairy products: Mozzarella cheese, Yoghurt, Ricotta cheese, Stracchino cheese, Formaggella cheese, Maggengo Erborinato blue cheese, Matured Grasso del Colle cheese, Matured cheese (+ 12 months), sweet low-fat cheese, Tomino cheese.
