All at play!

Celebrating the Pirlì, a traditional World Heritage game

The tournament involves a total of twelve “squares”: eleven provincial “squares” (Bergamo, Seriate, Scanzorosciate, Gaverina Terme, Casazza, Monasterolo del Castello, Tavernola Bergamasca, Cologno al Serio, Mornico al Serio, Rota d’Imagna, Clusone), identified to offer geographical coverage of the province, and one international “square”, the twelfth, during TOCATÍ in Verona. The preliminary stages of the tournament will be held in these “squares”. The final stages of the tournament will also be held in the Gaverina Terme “square”. The project aims to involve and raise awareness of the proposed topics among a wide audience, in addition to the provincial, regional, national, and international ones.

The Pirlì tournament will take place from June to September 2024. It will be possible to play during significant moments of aggregation for each of the “squares” involved (fairs, festivals, patron saints’ festivals, etc.).
Anyone can play Pirlì; its simplicity makes it an exciting and fun game for all ages. Try it to believe!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Registrations are received directly during the “square” events, paying a contribution of €1.00 for each shot. Shots are unlimited, and each participant can play in several “squares”.
For each “square”, the calendar indicates the ‘square’ partner who will ensure the smooth running of the tournament.

HOW TO PLAY:
Giving a sharp blow to the whip, the spinning top will go up the playing field knocking down as many pins as possible, until it reaches the castle, inhabited by the “Titola”, thus obtaining the best score.
The four best scores obtained in the individual qualifying “squares” will advance to the semi-finals. The fifteen best scores from the semi-finals will advance to the finals.

At the tournament final on Sunday 22^nd September in Gaverina Terme, the judge and entertainer of the event will be Il Bepi.
