Among the multiple charitable, patriotic and voluntary social initiatives undertaken by the Alpini Group of Ranzanico, which has seen 60 years of enthusiastic activity, the construction of the chapel dedicated to the Madonna del Don.
It was built in a place where there was previously a small wayside shrine dedicated to Sainte Anne and it was completed on the 5th May 1985. The chapel was built to commemorate and honor all Alpini soldiers everywhere who died fighting for their country, and in particular those who died or were recorder as missing in action during the Russian campaign of the Second World War.
On the central part of the wall at the back is a depiction of the Madonna del Don, a work by the artist Gino Sertori of Casazza. On the two lateral walls are paintings by Angelo Vavassori of Bonate Sotto, with scenes of ALpini soldiers at war and in peacetime.
