The area of approximately 8000 square metres offers visitors a park consisting of: the grove for those who prefer to make their own, equipped with a barbecue, tables, and benches; the beach and sunbathing lawn, all equipped with toilets and showers; a small field for ball games; and a well-equipped play area for children; a harbour area with a jetty with pedalo and kayak hire.
The bar and restaurant have 170 seats in the indoor halls, and a large equipped outdoor terrace accommodates another 120. The service is friendly and attentive and the cuisine is typically local, with fish and traditional recipes being central. Among the most popular dishes are “risotto al profumo di lago”, “misto lago alla piastra”, “gnocchi di pane duro”, and “duck with cabbage” which, accompanied by white or red Valcalepio wine, now attract gourmets from all over. The social value of the CoP is known to all and much appreciated by users. The Casa del Pescatore has agreements with organisations, groups, and associations for day stays for the elderly, adolescents, and the handicapped, for whom it offers packages that include guided excursions to discover the valley, aperitifs in the wine cellar or entire days spent by the lake. It is also possible to organise meetings, exhibitions, training courses, and conferences, with the colours of the lake as a backdrop.
