Inauguration of the museum “Arts and crafts between knowledge and flavours”

PROGRAMME:
FRIDAY 5th DECEMBER
– Primary school workshop “The trades of my village”, at the Primary School, Via A. De Gasperi, Grone. “Ol poiàt” with Sergio Castelletti. The children’s crafts will be exhibited during the inauguration of the medieval tower on Monday 8th December.
SATURDAY 6th DECEMBER
– 4 p.m.: Three Towers: the history of the Community of Grone and its hamlets, at the Sports Centre, Via della Pace, Grone.

Speakers: Prof. Mario Suardi, Arch. Alberto Bianchi, Prof. Mario Sigismondi, Prof. Mariangela Piziali, Arch. Marco Zappella.
The historic buildings of Grone in the context of the Cavallina Valley.
The Lombardy-Veneto land registry to learn about the territory.
Scattered farmhouses and heliotrope colonies on the hills of San Fermo.
The conservative restoration of the Museum.
Closing remarks by the mayor of Grone, Enrico Agazzi.
SUNDAY 7th DECEMBER
– 4 p.m.: Water, caves and deities: news from the Altro Pianet cave, at the Sports Centre, Via della Pace, Grone

Speakers: Dr. Cristina Longhi – ABAP BG BS Archaeology Superintendency, Dr. Gian Battista Rivellini – director of PLIS Malmera dei Montecchi e del Colle degli Angeli, speleologists from the Sebino Project, Gianni Comotti.

MONDAY 8th DECEMBER
– 10 a.m.: Opening of the craft fair and Christmas markets in the streets of the village;
– 10.15 a.m.: Meeting point at the medieval tower in Via Sabotino;
– 10.30 a.m.: Blessing and inauguration of the historical museum; Speeches by the authorities and associations present; Tour of the towers and crafts in the streets of the village;
– 3 p.m.: Exhibition of ancient games in the streets of the village (pirlì, soapbox);
Throughout the day, in the streets of the village and in the characteristic portals and doorways, there will be an open-air exhibition presenting the crafts of the past, simulating aspects of life in days gone by;
Christmas markets organised by local traders will also be set up along the streets of the village;
The day’s events will be enlivened by moments of music and folk songs: Valcavallina Alpine Choir, Sorisole Bersaglieri fanfare and bagpipers;
Refreshments available at the oratory tower and show cooking in Via Sabotino.
