Bonicelli Palace

Trescore Balneario

Substantial architectural renovations in the former estate of the Lanzi Grumelli family, carried out in the 16th-18th centuries and documented by two medallions on the staircase in the southern courtyard, gave rise to Palazzo Bonicelli.

Numerous changes of ownership of the complex occurred, including, in the 15th century, the Gandinese Castelli family, who became one of the most influential in Trescore. The Castelli family then sold the property to the Rossi nobles. At the same time, at the beginning of the 19th century, when this family died out, and after various passages, Dr. Pietro Bonicelli della Vite took over, honorary president of the Court of Cassation until 1963, who left his name to the palace.
