A moderately demanding hike amongst woods and streams. Some stretches on asphalt and the sections through Bianzano and Ranzanico will give you a chance to rest.
ROUTE
From the small church of San Pietro in Spinone, climb the Tuf valley, and in a few minutes you will reach an equipped area where, in the shade of black alders and plane trees, you can get ready for the demanding climb up to Bianzano. Continue on a dirt track running alongside the Tuf stream, turn right and cross a small bridge so that you reach the left side of the valley. Continue on a steep path in the shade of a coppice forest, on the left of which there are some very large boulders. Following an asphalt road, you first reach the cemetery and then the village of Bianzano (600 m).
Go through the village and climb up to the cross of the Alpini (817 m), continue along the Caslini path (CAI n° 513) to Mount Pler (1,045 m) and descend to the Forcella di Ranzanico saddle. Continue the descent to Ranzanico, cross a stretch of level ground to reach Bianzano and then take the old mule track back to Spinone.
