A beautiful hike that will take you from the Albano Valley to the heights of Mount Misma, with spectacular panoramic views of the flat countryside around Bergamo and Brescia.
ROUTE
From via Valle di Albano in the municipality of Albano Sant’Alessandro (257 m), take the path (CAI n° 626) that climbs steeply, with a series of hairpin bends, up to Mount San Giorgio (433 m). It then continues with a slight gradient until it brings you to the Church of the Madonna d’Argon (482 m). It continues in a north-easterly direction, turning sharply to the right, while on the left it is flanked by a road for vehicular traffic.
The route now becomes flat, crossing Col di Paste and, continuing to the left, it brings you into sight of the Bocche del Gavarno, after which it reaches the hamlet of Piazze where it begins to climb into the woods. After reaching Cascina Pradale (680 m), it intersects with path n° 513 arriving from the Costone di Gavarno ridge. Continuing along the path, you reach Ruculù and then there is a steep climb up to the summit of Mount Misma (1,161 m), from where there are spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and the plain.
