Non-competitive walk at your own pace: 6, 13 and 19 km

PROGRAMME AND RULES:
– Meeting point: 7 a.m.
at the Municipal Sports Centre in Via San Vittore, Gaverine Terme;
– Start: between 7.30 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. We recommend setting off earlier, as the event staff will only be on site once the race begins;
– End of the event: 1 p.m. or, in any case, after the arrival of the last participant;
– Checkpoints will be set up along the route, and participants are required to have their cards stamped;
– The deadline for individual entries is half an hour before the start, and entries will be accepted on Sunday morning at the Sports Centre. Group entries must be made by telephone by 18.00 on Saturday 3 October, on +39 3481139555 or +39 3494404812, or by emailing usgaverinaterme@alice.it;
Groups are defined as such if they consist of at least 20 participants and a list of their names is submitted at the time of registration. Local groups will be recognised with a separate ranking;
– Recognition will be granted only to the first 600 registrants; thereafter, only registrations at a reduced rate will be accepted;
– Medical assistance will be provided by volunteers from the Italian Red Cross (C.R.I.) or another aid organisation;
– The route is hilly to mountainous, covering distances of 6, 13 or 19 km;
– Refreshment points: 2 for the 6 km route, 4 for the 13 km route, 6 for the 19 km route, in addition to the refreshment point at the finish line. Refreshment points will provide drinks and solid food recommended by dieticians;
– The event is covered by insurance;
– By registering, the Organisers assume that the participant is physically fit; the participant expressly declares that they comply with the guidelines set out for taking part in non-competitive activities;
– The routes are mainly along secondary roads with little traffic and mountain trails. Along the routes, participants must comply with the provisions of the current Highway Code;
– All participants are required, before the start, to complete the participation form in full, to display it clearly during the walk and to hand it back to the organisers on arrival;
– The event will go ahead whatever the weather conditions. The organisers reserve the right to make any necessary changes to the routes to ensure the safety of participants. A pick-up service for walkers will be provided;
– Participants are required to comply with all the rules set out in the regulations for non-competitive walking events drawn up by the C.S.I. Non-Competitive Walking Section. As a medical certificate is not required to take part in the walk, we appeal to participants’ sense of personal responsibility and recommend that they choose a route length appropriate to their physical abilities;
– In the event of non-attendance, the registration fee already paid will not be refunded;
– The person in charge of the walk is Ms Roberta Farinotti; the Technical Commissioner is Mr Antonio Nicoli;
– For matters not covered by these regulations, the C.S.I. regulations of Bergamo and the decisions of the Provincial Non-Competitive Walks Commission shall apply.

– Individual prizes: the first 400 participants will receive a local “tomino” cheese, followed by a modern, colourful gift;
– Other prizes: 1st Group Trophy, 2nd Group Trophy, 3rd Group Trophy, 4th Group Trophy; a cup for the oldest participant (ID required) and a cup for the youngest participant (ID required);
– Part of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Sister Claudia’s Mission in the Congo.
