A special event at the Silk Museum of Ranzanico, sponsored by FAI
The FAI Delegation of Bergamo invites you once again to a palace: this time it is Palazzo Re-Meris in Ranzanico. Dating back to the 18th century and embellished in the 19th century with a sandstone colonnade bordering the courtyard overlooking Lake Endine, the palace houses, in its rooms decorated in Liberty style and featuring stone fireplaces, several collections that will take us on a journey through history, art, ancient trades, and everyday life as it once was—a “once upon a time” rich with memories. Silk production, an activity that brought wealth to the palace’s former owners, plays a prominent role: among the collections stands out Fal’ Fil, a museum-workshop dedicated to the local silk tradition, featuring rare, still-functioning 18th-century machinery, historical photographs, precious fabrics, and an exceptional collection of cocoons from all over the world.
Joining us will also be the volunteers of the “Salotto delle Sciure” with their handwoven wool products. The most curious visitors will be able to taste various olive oils from our region and stroll a short distance to the peaceful Oratory of San Bernardino, where volunteers from the Delegation will illustrate its early 16th-century frescoes.
A walk through the small, picturesque village may include an independent visit to the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, rich in artworks and furnishings from the Fantoni school.

– Guided tours of the Palace are provided by the Associazione Arte in Valle and volunteers from the FAI Delegation of Bergamo;
– Tours depart every 20 minutes;
– The event is based on a voluntary contribution, to be paid on site to a FAI delegate, starting from €5.00 for FAI members and €8.00 for non-members;
– It will be possible to sign up, renew a membership, or gift a membership (Christmas is coming, and gifting a FAI membership means gifting access to beauty!) on site;
– RESERVATION is highly appreciated for organizational reasons. Those without a reservation will be able to join tours only until each group reaches maximum capacity.
