Join Us to Save the Amphibians! 🐸
Nature is awakening and the first amphibians have already started their migration! 🌱 With rising temperatures and upcoming rainfall, we expect an explosion of movements: it’s time for action!
Every year, hundreds of toads and other amphibians cross Provincial Road n° 76 to reach Lake Endine, where they lay their eggs. Unfortunately, without our help, many of them are unable to complete the journey due to traffic. This is where we come in! 💪
How does Rescue work?
🚧 Protective barriers prevent the amphibians from crossing the road.
🪣 Volunteers collect the amphibians safely and transport them to the lake or back upstream.
📊 Census: we count the different species to monitor their growth.
📍 Meeting point: Parking lot next to the Church of San Michele Arcangelo (Endine Gaiano, Loc. San Felice).
⏰ Time: 6.30 p.m. (standard time) | 7.30 p.m. (daylight saving time).
How to participate?
📩 Book your turn by sending your details (name, surname, contact details and dates of availability) to the Mountain Community.
✍ Sign the Release Declaration and forward it by email.
👥 Max 12 volunteers per evening divided into 3 sectors, each led by experts and Voluntary Ecological Guards.
