Many of the world&#8217;s greatest cyclists have tackled the climb to the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve. The Giro d&#8217;Italia has stopped here several times, most recently in 2009.<br>For the determined cyclists who take on the demanding eight-kilometer climb, the sense of achievement is unparalleled. For everyone else arriving fresh and rested by car\u2026 see you at the small museum filled with memorabilia!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Madonna for Cyclists: The Apparition at Colle Gallo Pass (1690)<br><\/strong>Every 5<sup>th<\/sup> August, the apparition of the Madonna is commemorated at the Colle Gallo Sanctuary. A rather special Madonna, as she is considered the protector of cyclists. <strong>Many cyclists challenge the climb to Colle Gallo<\/strong>, pedaling to the top and conquering <strong>the steep slopes that have played a starring role in both the Giro d&#8217;Italia and the renowned Gran Fondo Felice Gimondi<\/strong>.<br>Whether you are a cycling enthusiast or just curious, do not miss <strong>the small museum\u00a0<em>Sala dei Ricordi dei Ciclisti<\/em><\/strong>, home to memorabilia, trophies, photographs, and even jerseys worn by cycling champions. Naturally, there is no shortage of bicycles, including some vintage models that have stood the test of time and are now true collector\u2019s items.<br>Whether you have tackled the climb yourself or simply cheered on the cyclists, everyone can enjoy the <strong>green spaces<\/strong> here-perfect for a picnic or relaxing with a book in the refreshing mountain air.
