A special event at the Silk Museum of Ranzanico, sponsored by FAI<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The FAI Delegation of Bergamo<\/strong> invites you once again to a palace: this time it is Palazzo Re-Meris in Ranzanico<\/strong>. Dating back to the 18th<\/sup> century<\/strong> and embellished in the 19th <\/sup>century with a sandstone colonnade bordering the courtyard overlooking Lake Endine, the palace houses, in its rooms decorated in Liberty style and featuring stone fireplaces, several collections that will take us on a journey through history, art, ancient trades, and everyday life as it once was\u2014a \u201conce upon a time\u201d rich with memories. Silk production, an activity that brought wealth to the palace\u2019s former owners, plays a prominent role: among the collections stands out\u00a0Fal\u2019 Fil<\/strong><\/em>, a museum-workshop dedicated to the local silk tradition<\/strong>, featuring rare, still-functioning 18th<\/sup>-century machinery, historical photographs, precious fabrics, and an exceptional collection of cocoons from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Joining us will also be the volunteers of the \u201cSalotto delle Sciure\u201d<\/strong> with their handwoven wool products. The most curious visitors will be able to taste various olive oils<\/strong> from our region and stroll a short distance to the peaceful Oratory of San Bernardino<\/strong>, where volunteers from the Delegation will illustrate its early 16th-century frescoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
