CASAZZA – COLLE GALLO<\/strong>
This is a fantastic tour that combines the classic asphalt climb from Gaverina Terme to Colle Gallo with a subsequent ascent to Faisecco, followed by a beautiful descent on a smooth and enjoyable trail. Downstream from Fontana de Lef, the trail becomes highly technical and challenging; this section can be avoided by turning left and following the dirt road back to Gaverina Terme. The views over the entire Val Cavallina and towards Lake Endine are breathtaking, especially from Faisecco and Cesul\u00ec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ITINERARY DESCRIPTION<\/strong>
Once in Casazza (1)<\/strong>, you can park at the sports center behind the parish church, or you can arrive by cycling along the Val Cavallina cycle path. Cross the village and head toward Gaverina. The road is smooth and never too steep. After Gaverina (2)<\/strong>, you pass through the locality of Piano and finally arrive near the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Ciclista at Colle Gallo (3)<\/strong>. From here, the view sweeps over Val Cavallina and the waters of Lake Endine. On the church square, you will find a water fountain and a kiosk, as well as a small cycling museum nearby. The Agricole del Colle farm has a shop close by \u2014 make room in your rucksack for a delicious piece of cheese or a cold cut.
Just before the pass, turn left toward Faisecco (CAI marker 621). After a few dozen meters, turn right and start climbing, passing the entrance to the \u201cCountry Village\u201d in the locality of Faisecco (4)<\/strong>. Leave the CAI 621 marker (which, on the left, indicates the path leading directly to Cesul\u00ec) and continue along the road as it turns right and climbs to a fork. At the crossroads, beyond a group of farmsteads, keep left toward the ridge. Turn left again, still on asphalt, and you will reach a barrier. Go past it and climb the small concrete road with significant gradients. This steep stretch is short, and soon you can leave the road.
Two paths branch off to the right after a few meters: take the first one toward Prati Alti – Santa Maria di Misma (CAI marker 609). You will traverse the Fellongo forest along a slightly uphill diagonal, alternating between flat sections and steep inclines that may require pushing your bike briefly. Before reaching the crest of Mount Pranz\u00e0 (5)<\/strong>, you\u2019ll encounter a fork; turn left (CAI marker 622) toward Cesul\u00ec. Shortly afterward, you will reach the summit and begin your descent. The path crosses wide meadows and passes two farmsteads before re-entering the woods. Follow the ridge on CAI 622 until you arrive at Cesul\u00ec (6)<\/strong>.
Cesul\u00ec is a stunning spot: a small church perched on a panoramic hill offering priceless views of Lake Endine, Val Cavallina, and the hills of Val Calepio. Continue along the ridge on a beautiful and enjoyable path. Pay close attention at the first fork, where you turn sharply left (CAI marker 625) toward Casazza. Be careful not to continue toward Vigano San Martino. A long, fast diagonal on a packed-earth surface awaits \u2014 enjoy it.
Eventually, you\u2019ll reach a farmstead in a wide clearing. Follow the path that cuts across the steep dirt road serving the farmstead. At Fontana de Lef (7)<\/strong>, you\u2019ll cross the dirt road again, which leads left to Gaverina. Follow it for a short, slightly uphill stretch until you find a descending path branching off to the right. This section is technical and more challenging than previous ones. When you reach another dirt road, follow it to the right. If you ascend this road, you can access the final section of the path, which descends to the valley floor but has a very uneven surface.
At Mologno, follow the tarmac road, which will soon take you back to Casazza and the road you traveled on earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
